Before I moved to Lawrence, KS in 2012, in an attempt to downsize the amount of stuff I would haul from one state to another, I had moved much of my hard copy CDs to a digital format and filled my ipod with much of my music and a variety of podcasts. But since making the move to Lawrence, I have rarely taken the time to listen to that ipod that is so full of music, conversations, and artistic expressions.
I’ve recently done a lot of traveling which has required me to spend quite a bit of time in my car. On my last journey from Lawrence, KS to Denver, CO and back, I decided to pull out the rarely-listened to ipod, and put it on shuffle.
A wonderful conversation which took place between Tami Simon and Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estese (author of Women Who Run with the Wolves), which took place in 2009, was one of the first pieces to begin playing. This conversation is about a intriguing-sounding series that Dr CPE has done through Sounds True about learning to “see in the dark”; seeing symbolically into the wisdom of the soul through the events of life.
I found the conversation thought-provoking and engaging, and this information feels important to share. I hope you enjoy!
